Smart + others :)
I started the strut removal today however I'm a little stuck

I have removed the 18mm nut to Detach the spring control arm from the rear axle (6a in diagram) but I am not able to remove the bolt it doesn't budge.

Any ideas?

Have fun with that one, it seizes in the sleeve inside the bush. We have had to dismantled the other end to remove shock. A lot more work but still easier that cutting bolt out.

Hi sir
i have the same problem with my car
c1526-008 right rear valve stuck
you finally changed your rear right strut and you said you hope the problem is over.
Did your problem go away when you changed the strut ?
I am waiting for your answer, I suffered a lot to solve the problem.
I'll be happy if you can help me

Resurrecting an olllld thread here…

What system are you using to get the error code? Is it generic or MB-specific?

Mb-specific
Error code c1526-008 which is y36/2y3
In that case, you need to remove, strip, clean and replace your rear valve block. Luckily not a hard or expensive job. New o-rings should be c.40£
