Hi,

I have just bought an SL55 AMG ( I still can't believe I finally did it!! )

It is an 03/03.

I have seen photos of some with windbreaks on the roll bar. To be honest I don't have enough hair to worry about it but the girlfriend has asked me to put one on.

Is it possible to fit them? I have seen some on ebay but I have no idea if they are right.

Any advice would be genuinely appreciated.

Thanks,

Toby

Hi Toby, it seems that you are a newbie just like me!:D
I have a SL55 based car and it came with the "windbreaker", it works realy well, you can also have a conversation with your passinger without having to shout. If you are driving on the motorway I find that you need need to have all of the side widows up in order for it to be very effective, the cabin is much quieter when driving like this also you don have to have the music up as loud, the other thing I have noticed is that if you need to also drive with the heater blower on the heat seams to stay in the cabin as if the roof was still on. the only downside is that when the roolbar is down and the "windbreaker" is attached the rear parking sensor display is obscured, I did not even know that my car had them until I joined this forum last week!!:D

Welcome from me and enjoy your car

Yes as Brabus a very nice thing to have, why not ask the last owner for it, or on Ebay, if you are not sure, just post the Ebay details and we can tell you if it is correct
