SL60 Advice

Hi all, after asking for advice on CL55K AMG unfortunatley the car I was looking at sold before I could view it, so thanks again for your valued comments / advice. On a different note I'm now looking at a 1995 SL60 (I'm told there were only 49 ever made in RHD format and around 300 world wide). Is it basically a SL500 but tuned by AMG ? I love my 300SL but now would prefere more power. Does anyone know about these SL60's and what to look out for. Any thoughts again is most appreciated. Thanks

Yes it is a 129066 and the later ones 129067 the 067 car has a few newer features than the earlier version, but they both share the very good 119 engine.

New to this forum and thinking of upgrading my 1995 SL500 to an SL60. Anyone have any thoughts on if this is worthwhile and much of an upgrade?

Err, i thought the main difference was another 4 cylinders!

No, thats the SL600 that has the V12 engine. The SL60 had the V8 engine enlarged to ~6 litres capacity; a much rarer beast than the SL600!

yes and the prefaclifts are even rarer. I may have to settle for a left hander from germany, but one way or another Im going to have a prefaclift car!
