slight rocking at idle W203 C220 CDI 2002

hi guys I have a slight rocking motion at idle. when I pull away there is no sluggishness or faltering, but it is noticable, any ideas?

Yes, the air mass sensor is also known as the MAF. Get one from MB, there is only £6 difference between that and one from specialists (as I found out today)...

Hi,
Had the same problem as you, engine rough at idle only. Turned out to be worn injector nozzles, two needed replacing so did the lot. If its not the MAF this is most likely the problem, see your local BOSCH diesel specialist, seems to be an inherent problem with circa 2000 reg cars. Expect £115 per nozzle for replacement.
