Hi my daughter has not used her car for sometime and the battery went flat, so put a new one on and now have a problem with the information showing on the dashboard such as brake worn down and top up water.

Is there a way that we can reset the system to clear this problem. I have checked to make sure that there is no problem with either.

Would appreciate any help

Hello and welcome

Best thing to do is give it a drive and see how it is after that. If it is a brake wear sensor that is showing up then as likely as not the brake pads are worn - unless you’ve had some rodents chewing wires which is a great possibility with cars left sat around for a period of time.

Thanks for your message, I have checked the whole car over and all is fine, drives well but still has the water coolant and brakes warning come up just wondered if there is a way of resetting it
