slk 230 99 stops when hot and wont start

can anyone help car runs fine for a while then just cuts out and wont start we have just cleaned and replaced the breather systerm on inlet side due to misfire and flat spot.
if you leave the car overnight come back to start it it will run fine again
please can i get any advice

This should be just the CPS and a common fault,,it measure 1k ohm when good and open circuit when cold

Sorry,, the crank shaft sensor it sits on the rear of the engine and cost about £50 from Bosch service centers and it is 8 in the link

I had my W210 E280 cps go on me, parked in Sainsburys, popped in for some cigs and when I came out it refused to start!! About 40 minutes later it started so I went for it, got 3/4 mile down the road (dual carriageway) and there she stayed lol!! Quite a simple job all in all!!!
