slk 230 triptronic?

I have just bought (but not yet taken delivery of) my first Merc, a 1999 SLK 230 Komp. Does anyone know if the auto gearbox is triptronic as standard?

yes it is....the manual didnt arrive till 2000. along with the v6 and 2lk


ps. better off putting mercedes realted topics in the general section on this forum.

under chat as you will see, it says non mercedes related..hence the strange wierd and wonderful discussions below...

and i really should say that it isnt tiptronic....its a 5sp auto with tip function. which means you have a left/right movement for changing not up/down

the display inext to your milage will tell you which gear you are in.

Got the car today, and its not Tiptronic, just normal auto gate. Probably wouldnt have used it anyway, car however is just deeeeeeeelightful!
