New to the site !
Ok Here goes ...Just bought 1999 230k SLK in Silver very nice car ...
It's covered 125,00 but has had 120,000 miles being serviced@ Mercedes Benz
and a specialist for the last 5k ...
Any tips / advice what to check that should have been done or is due ?
Can anyone tell me if an alarm was standard on this model ... its got a Scorpion alarm fitted with (i was told this was fitted in ireland before being given to customers i dont how true that is ) ... what i gather from reading this forum a panic button on the dash next to the pop out drinks tray .... it has the two sensor on the windscreen upright pillars, one on either side and one has the sensitivity adjustor...
the button seems to do nothing ! and nothing lights up when locking unlocking the car (with respect to the panic button)
( the indicators flash but i guess to indicate lock/unlock and not alarm activate/deactivate )
