Does any one have a similiar problem to this
Window seems not to stop at the place it should i have to bring it slightly back down or it overshoots the rubber and unless I get it dead right there is a draught
surely it should stop exactly right
Also when putting roof back up nearside window failed to go back down first and roof had to close on top of it- pannicky moment
and when eventually we got it to work there was a noise as if something dropped off inside the door and fell to the bottom could this have been a stop of some sort?
any ideas?

You do need to see what has fallen off.the roof must know where the windows are

have you set the windows and stored the settings

There is an upper stop, or possibly two that are bonded to the glass, I think. I have not had one apart for this specific fault, but I have noticed them before when I have been in there. Pretty sure they are bonded to the glass, and sounds like yours have fallen off.

You can buy a mirror bonding kit from a motor factor that will refix them

You hold the window switch in the up mode for 10 sec with the key turned to 2 after the window has closed

As uncles post there are some things bonded to the glass.

I have printed off the removing details for you, and I can send them

Which ever has fuel in it!!!
I have done 3 slk's with the same fault in the last month, need to check no parts have come off and you also have a couple of adjuster parts on the window reg runners which may need to be adjusted before you re-set the the system

I have sent the info and you can edit out your address.

Re the glass, there is no info on sticking the stop back on,,but if you score the glass you can get a very good bond with some of the modern adhesives
