Slk 300

Hi guys,
New to the slk but have owned a few mercs in my day. C class, and 2 e class and love the brand. Anyway just looking for some advice.. Have seen an Slk 300 2009 plate with genuine mileagecof jusy over 24000 miles( yes 24,000). 2 previous owners and mileage checks out from mot info. They're looking for just a tad undet £8000. Is this a good or just average deal. It has a full service history. Only mot fail was a broken spring 3 years ago and now fixed.

Excellent choice of car, broken springs aren’t an issue, very common on just about all cars these days.

Things I’d be interested in, subframe, has it been replaced? If not it needs to be replaced as it will be rusty (from the inside). Are the front wings rusty? If not, they will be if the internal brackets haven’t been treated.
Are the suspension struts rusty? They can fail pretty badly.
Low mileage isn’t always the best, cars are much better being used regularly than sitting around. My 09 SLK 280 in on 155k miles are running beautifully.

Absolutely concur on the regular buses thing.
I have a couple of Mercedes. An R class with 170k and an SL with 120. Over the past 5 years the SL has done 5000 miles. Every autumn it's put away. Every spring I have a list of things to fix that used to work perfectly. Meanwhile the R class trundles along every day in all weathers with hardly an issue.
