Slk 320 r170 gearbox problem

Hi I have a problem with the auto box in my slk.it drives normally until I stop or slow down to a crawl then gearbox won't change up to top gear.if I stop and turn engine off and restart all is OK until I stop again.i have replaced the fluid and filter the conductor plate and also tcu gearbox was in limp mode .thinking of buying icarsft mb v3.0 as I think it can diagnose gearbox anyone had this problem thanks
