The wife's SLK has an intermittant problm with the indicators, very simply occasionally they donot flash, the light come on the display and outside lights are on, no "ticking" - but no flashing.

I't not the PSE unit - it's dry and been turned upside down, I have change a small control relay that was recommended by MB, but there has to be something else that controls the indicators.

If this was a Morris 1000 changing the flasher unit would solve the problem - but as far as I can see there is no such thing om the SLK

Help / advise please

Hi Malcom

I have got this problem with my SLK. I have found that if you put the windscreen wipers on intermittent it clears the fault. I believe they both work from the same module.

Thanks Vangogh for the tip - do you think it's the module that is at fault - where can I locate the module on the car?

Yes.

9/10 it isthe multi-function relay that is the problem (more like a control unit).

It operated the roof and the wipers too.

Malcolm I don't think so that's a switching relay for the flashers, which I have already replaced
(£9.00) - I think the multi function relay is a much more complex relay / control unit that costs ££££
I will find it this eve

Hi Manlcolm

Sorry I don't know where the module is, but I have heard it is not cheap.

Hi Manlcolm

I have heard it's over £500 :( - what I would like to know if it can be taken apart (like the PSE unit) and cleaned - could anyone advise

Thanks in advance

Thanks for e-mail Malcolm - if I remove / replace the muliti function control module does the car have to be put on "star" or is it self calibrating?
