Have recently purchased a low mileage (37K) SLK 230 on an R plate I am really pleased with it so far and can't wait until the summer arrives at last and I can have a decent drive with the roof down!. I do however have a question on the alarm system fitted.
From the paperwork this was a MB dealer fitted system (in 98) and supported by the window sticker. However I have no instructions for its use or how to test if it is operable. I have two keys (1x Red & 1X Black) and there is a key switch in the driver footwell with a red button that illuminates when the key is inserted. There are 2 what appear to be movement sensors fitted each side of the dash board adjacent to the windscreen. One of these has a red LED that does seem to blink on and off when I am out of the car and it is locked.
Anyone got any instructions or point me in the right direction?
