slk diff replacement auto/manual ?

Hi all , i have a whining diff, (and missus) i have managed to locate one from a car same year and model but the car is an auto and mine is a manual, is there a difference with the diff ? or should it fit. I was also told there are three different types of diffs for these, but maybe being thrown a herring....Mine is a 99 slk 200 non komp. thanks chris

cant say for sure but the differences will probably be the final drive ratio, ie the ratio of the diff. id imagine it will physically fit though. are there any numbers on the casings etc of your diff and the replacement one?

sorry we cant help with the whining missus. its an inherent problem and no cure has yet been found except a very expensive one which involves removal of said whining missus and returning to the quiet bachelor life! :lol::lol:
