Her indoors is complaining that the accelerator pedal on her 2002 320 slk (auto) is further forward than the brake pedal,ie. she has to lift her foot off and up to brake,it also means the seat has to be too far forward. Is there an adjustment on either pedal or modification available?
Thanks,
Paul

Hi,
They should be pretty level, not that ive noticed having to lift and move my foot up to brake at all, there shouldnt be that much difference. dont know of any mods for this? is the cars brake servo ok, this should stiffen the brakes if car is still and brakes pumped the pedal should get harder to press.
cant think of anything else im sure one of the other guys will help

It must be standard. The brake pedal will be on the stop position which I doubt is adjustable due to the positioning of the sensors, switches and the fact that moving it forward would effectively apply the brakes.
The throttle is hinged to the floor so not intended to move either.
I think its probably the same on all mercs. Not designed for toe/heel but you get used to it which is why few people notice.

There are loads of them in the USA, do a search, car pedal extenders.

May give you an Idea. I find in mine it is easier to left foot brake, not recomended for beginers.

I would have thought that there was a method of adjusting the brake pedal position. My old Rangey has an eccentric bush on the pedal/push rod joint to adjust it.

Alternatively, you could teach 'her who must brake' to left foot brake THEN - fit her right shoe with a chinese style blocked sandal to even it all out. It would then be like that sequence out of 'Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom' - "Step on it Shorty":p :p
