SLK Roof

HI guys,
Going back to an older concern, a while ago i put the roof down on my slk and it would not come back up. I tried for about 10 mins to no avail, it would come half way up and then stop. When i found someone to give me a hand to put it up manually as the manual says it worked all on it's own?????? Have not put it down since in the worry of the same thing happening. Has anyone had similar before?? 230 SLK 1998.

Many of these types of faults are down to the excessive amount of rain and some of the electrics get confussed, wait for the weather to dry up a bit a it should work OK. there are not many known problems on your car.
