slk seat cover removal to repair heated seats

hi there,got no response to my previous post about fitting aftermarket heated seat elements to repair non working seat base,so could anyone tell me how to get the seat cover (base) off please and i am going to have a go at replacing or repairing it.the car is a 56 plate slk 200 r171.thankyou very much,regards simon.

I am in exactly the same situation. Any further information would be most welcome. I am in the process of installing the workshop manual so if I learn anything I'll let you know.

Edit: I just realised, this is a 1 year old thread (2013 duh!). Oh well.

I have exactly the same problem. As it's my wife's car I feel the need to make a decent job of it and would really appreciate the seat cover removal instructions.
