slk steering wheel removal

hi there wondered if any1 could help,got a momo steering wheel 2 fit,want 2 no how the origanal comes off and how 2 disable airbag light without having 2 fit more expensive boss kit,plus any1 no wer 2 get a cheap boss kit 4 a momo? cheers

Pft! i cannot understand why you would have a SLK and fit a cra**y steering wheel and disable your airbag..?!

I personally would buy the more expensive boss kit, as you are disabling the whole airbag system for the car and as the airbags are intergrated into interior panels you are driving round with potentially explosive devices in the car, albeit disabled.

IIRC it has been done before with a resistor put in the circuit to disable the warning light. Pls have a search around the forum.

Correct and 3.6 ohm is near enough

cheers 4 the replies chaps,as 4 fitting a cra**y steering wheel haha fitting a momo v6 leather n chrome its niiiiice ! will suit red n black interior and more then anything a wont keep hitting the bloomin horn every time i spin the wheel !!!!!
