SLK Tyres ?

Hi All,

I need to change my SLK 230 tyres soon but I am having trouble finding suitable replacements. The old tyres are Dunlop Sport 01.
I want the same make/type all round but I am finding that there are very few options due to the different tyre sizes front to back. I liked the look of the Continental Sport 2 but these are not available now in both sizes.

Any ideas/recommendations please. Price not important but want V rated tyres with a good performance and low noise.

I presume you're running 205/55-16's front and 225/50-16's at the rear?

I found the same problem. From the very limited options available I chose Conti Premium Contact 2's (although I seem to remember that Pirelli P7's were another possibility I considered).

The Conti's are fine on the car, with good grip and comfort - although they are a bit noisy.

Sorry I should have said that yes I am running the standard tyre set up i.e 205/55F 225/50R. I have also considered the amg wheel/tyre option but not sure if any other mods are required with that set up.
