Forgive me in advance for lack of technical terms. I'll try and explain this ad best as I can.

The car is actually my partner's. Over the last couple of weeks he has noticed that his boot is slow in opening and closing. It closes fully, opens fully, its just slower than normal. He doesn't say anything about unusual noises. Is there any way of resetting something?

His concern is that someone who was trying to be helpful pulled on the boot not knowing it was electric and in the process has damaged a strut or a motor. I've tried Google searches but can't find any information about similar problems

Fingers crossed for a cheap solution.

Thanks in advance

Hello and welcome

Lubrication is always a good start. I’d get some oil into the hinges and see if that makes it move easier
