I know, you dont have to tell me what a cr#p idea BUT I would really like the look of a smoked rear lens and centre brake light to compliment my silver slk

Any clues where I can buy these light units or get my ones sprayed professionally in Surrey

thanks Peter

No sorry, but I did take fancy to smoked lenses as they would look good on my black car. circa 300 for the real smoked jobs

Thats a different way of doing it Kieth,,many in the USA spray them inside

Some do spray, Malcolm, but the film is less work and easily reversible. I'm thinking of putting clear film on the headlights to protect them from stone chips.

You can get smoked LED rear lights for the SLK on Ebay - about £250 as I looked into getting them for my SLK, they also do the headlights and side indicator repeaters - they all claim to be road legal......

I'd like to spray my rear lamps from the inside to make the clear sections smoked but can see no way of removing the lens from the body of the unit. Anyone know how this is done?
