Smoking ML270 cdi

I have a problem with my ML270 cdi. When I pull off from junctions I get a puff of smoke. During normal driving it is fine. My Merc specialist has changed 2 injectors, EGR Valve, Air Mass sensor, and air filter - all to no avail. He tried to disconnect the EGR valve, which resulted in curing the problem, except the car went into limp home mode! Any ideas please? Nick

My ML is too smoking...the manifold has recently gone faulty which ive yet to sort...a service is due on mine too....interested in your diagnosis Nick if you get one

yes nick, i suggest the flaps are jammed or leaking, or the intercooler or pipes are leaking. is this 'puff' of smoke worth the hassle? (only wondering...)

Hi if it is the flaps then it might be possible to repair them I did omegav6's a couple of week ago they where jammed also ball joints on the flap linkages where worn out/falling apart, tiny self tapper was sheered of in one of the plastic flaps that needed to be removed but I fixed it. they was causing black smoke lots of it.
