Snaped a glow plug!

Hi does anyone know of an owners manual for the c-class/v-class/vito 2.2 cdi engine? just snaped a glow plug in the head, s**t!!! My glow plug warning light was on after the engine was running so i decided to change them, 3 out of the 4 were like new, but the one on drivers side (vito) was corroded around the top. This van is ex RAC with 62k on the clock (2000 X), i was suprised at the state of the plug. Has someone struggled with this before me? Any way looks like i'll be taking the head off tomorrow then! Hope it does'nt snow!

I would not panic too much. Your engine will start quite happily on three, which gives you time to sort out how to get the plug out without taking the head off

Yes, thanks for that, iv'e just been out to it and tried to start it from cold, it fired up 1st time! i've managed to drill down the middle of it to within about 1/2" from the end, i'm hoping that the compression of the engine will fire the offending piece out.

Once you've drilled the hole it should be pretty easy to remove using a decent stud remover - not an expensive tool and well worth owning a few of them in various sizes
