Yeah i get all those quotes, especially when cleaning and polishing the same cars for 3 days straight!
They don't have much of an interest in cars. When I was driving company cars I was the same.

Put mine back together with its new part ..... it no longer regulated the pressure via the lance trigger (I did have 2 spare screws!) and promptly bust something internal....

Now in the market for a new one ...... duhhhhh

Deep joy.....

There is a round metal filter inside the lance , you can buy replacements from eBay . If this blocks up it can stop foaming , I flush my foam lance with clean water after using it . Try some car shampoo in there to test , that should also foam . I doubt snow foam will go off anytime soon .

Hadnt thought of that, and wish I hadnt read this thread.
Mine says ... rinse through with clear water after usage to clean the filter!

Yikes any metal gauze filter will be clogged in months around here with limescale.

How would you get at this internal filter

This end is moulded into a hexagonal plastic shroud

The right side black is spring loaded to open the foam Jaws of the Jet, and the grey oart is sprung loaded so you can change the fan horizontal or vertical.

The adjustable jet jaws ... at least they are stainless steel lined.

Oh well pour Viacal in it and leave and then flush.
Dismantling does not look too DIY on this one. :(:(

As a temporary fix, you could drop it in Viacol, really dissolves our hard water deposits.
I say temporary as it stripped the coating off those wire gauze pellets one puts in a kettle!

On your second from bottom picture there is a metal pin that runs through the blue plastic section , use a small punch or nail to knock this through and that side will pull off . There are some good vids on YouTube for snow foam nozzle cleaning/dismantling

Yeah I have some other nasty drain cleaner can’t remember the brand which I may try- I tried the descaler and it had no effect at all. My temporary fix was a 12 quid Karcher lance which surprisingly works fine
