Older Citroen Now :-(
I've now experienced 12 different 7g or 7g+ boxes and not one of them has delivered a lumpy shift from 2nd to 1st or rolled back on an incline.

It must all be in the mind Steve, or you have a neurosis about it or something

I have owned 2 cars with the 7G and other than the silly way of fluid change I loved them..
The 211 was particularly good (Very late 2007 model)..
Mine didnt have issues when slowing down and the upshifts were magical..

They are frighteningly complex but in my case they never put a foot wrong.

I've driven 5 now and all have been iffy one way or another. Its not bad luck, they just do not suit the way I drive.

Now we have the answer, sorry Steve any test run in mine is cancelled now;)

When I say drive. I stop the car using the brake. It jolts. I think they do not like me. I'll wager a short drive in your car and I'll find issue. If not, I will publically recant my slatings of the 7g box and say I drove one which was good...

Until then. I bash it.

Steve I am far to concious of any fault on any car to accept a box that was not right,,, no jolts ever,,, I will take some fussy person out in it at the meet, and they can report back, its the best box that I have ever had

Comedy post.

But aye, and as its a nice car I won't snack in it.

Thats the other thing about the S class. It has oodles of storage bins and the collumn select (something I thought I would hate) really is great. More storeage and big cupholders, perfect for bags of sweeties for me to much on the motorway.

But the car is too nice for me to turn into a mobile bin...

I never twigged this was in the S class. My E IIRC had one, but it was too small for the scale of snacks I like to carry onboard.

The S class has a big console. Its features like this that make it a proper luxury car:cool:

And I have 2 cup holders that you can take out and wash, any spills and no gearbox control to mess up,,, the side door boxes are shaped to hold pens and combs, etc, there is the dedicated compartment up above on the OCP for your sun glasses, its a very well thought out car with a super jolt free gear box;)
