i have a 230 ce pillares coup and i like to do most of the jobs myself on the car she has been running great untill.

after about say 5 miles the brakes go soft and you have to pump them to work.

when i stop the car and go back out latter in it the brakes do the same abot after 5 miles or so.

i have check the fluid and it seem ok full etc and there dont seem to be any leaks that i can see.

i know what most people say take it to a garage but i am one of the people that like to fix their own cars if its possable.

any help will be most welcom as i have not come up against this in all the 30 or more years of driving.

It will be the brake master cylinder on the way out. If you can pump up the system and with preasure on the pedal it stays up, but as soon as you release the pedal its soft again, it will be the master cylinder.
easy to change as it just bolts on the back of the servo, and of coarse will need bleeding on all 4 wheels, always start at the back (longest runs first)
