Hi,

I'm looking at changing the speakers in my C36 with some aftermarket items shortly. Having asked a few people and looked at various websites it would appear I need some form of adaptor for both front and rear mounting to allow me to use non-MB speakers.

Is this right?

Also, the rears have already been changed for some terrible Kenwood things, does this mean they would already have the adaptors fitted?

I was going to get this done but I thought its been a while since I had chronically sore finger tips and backache (not to mention the swearing when you lose a cable down the door....) LOL

Any advice would be appreciated!

a few years ago i swapped the oe speakers for kenwoods - easy job - the cover comes off from the bottom - one phillips screw..

if you dont want kenwoods, then yes - adaptors will be needed to be made..

Thanks for the info.

I might get them fitted professionally now you've said that....i've wired up the ice on 3 of my previous cars and it was a right pain in the backside :? .

Time to call some people who know what they're doing! LOL
