Hi Everyone.

I am desperately trying to find a good Mercedes Auto Electrician that really knows what he/she is doing? I have upgraded my steering wheel on my C Class 320 (2008) to a 2012 AMG steering wheel. The two steering wheels are not directly compatible so whilst my airbag, indicators, lights etc works my horn, trip computer, height adjuster does not work. Can anyone reccomend a good electrician that does not get phased by a complex challenge and is not afraid to devise their own electrical solution to solve a challenging problem?? I am happy to travel to find the right garage or workshop!

doubt what you want is a straightforward fix, it will be software, can bus and programming stupidity rather than this wire needs to connect to that one

comandonline may be able to help advise if what u r trying will ever succeed.... they are in lightwater

my guess will be continue to try over next two years and most likely trash a few expensive modules till the car won't start or if lucky achieve absolutely nothing. alternately swap it back and sell the wheel on ebay….

the ONLY other scenario I can imagine is if some polish software hero hacked about and already worked it out and if he did you will never know,

As @Botus says, try Comand at Lightwater, just of J3 of M3 so near you. This may not be routine for them but the may have some suggestions or know a man that can!
