My brother just got a speeding notification within 4 days of the offence taking place ...that's quick

They don’t mess about Wighty, I’m sure I would have heard by now.

I'm just glad I have cruise control , my brother in his Audi doesn't and got caught on a long downhill average speed zone at 81 in a 70 . He was well overdue for getting caught though :D

It’s been 2.5 weeks now and not heard anything, so all good .
Sounds like you'll be fine now, Don't they have to send in the post within 2 weeks, rather it has to be with you in two weeks, I read that on the Interweb somewhere.

Same sort of time for me back in 2017, just in time for me to start my own insurance policy, worked nicely with the zero NCD.

Correct, it must be issued within 14 days.

Somebody I know worked for a large company with many satellite offices. Got flashed, nothing for three weeks, thought she was in the clear. 2 weeks later the NIP arrived at her office. I've heard of that taking 'months' in some companies, which is defence for not responding, though I'm unsure what enforcement would happen in the interim.

I think this is the scenario which Beckham faced recently with a speed fine and was the defence "Mr Loophole" used . The delay in notifying the driver was excessive because the car was not personally registered and had to go via a company first .

The car was on loan from Bentley and his defence was that the NIP was not received by Bentley within the 14 day period.

Beckham enjoys a privileged position
Responsibility goes in concert
Poor role model
No knighthood
My heart bleeds, NOT
Shameful behaviour
