Speedometer no worky...

for the past week the speedometer has been working when it pleases. now its just stopped working all together.

anyone know how to fix this without going to dealer.(dont have a lot of time to put it into the dealer)

just done a search and found out that i just give it a bang on the side or i clean the pin.

so taking out the clocks....is it hard to do? estimated time to do it?

This link contains information on how to remove the instrument panel,http://202tech.mkosonen.com/howtos.html.
Once you have it out you will have to split the panel to clean the needles and stops, the paint becomes tacky and the needles stick to the stops.
Time for complete job, about 40mins with the right tools.
