Split vision on central display 08 E220 Avantegarde

Hi, I have a problem with the central display on the above instrument panel. Please see photograph. It is intermittent, but nowadays is more bad than good. Any advice please? Looks like it might be a plug issue into the display but how to get to it and what to do is baffling me. Thanks in anticipation, Andy

It will be internal to the dash... so dash out and strip the clocks down...

Did you give it a whack on the top with the side of your fist.

That certainly looks like the ribbon isn’t connecting fully, but as has been said it will be a pita to get it out and clean them, perfectly possible to give them a clean with a fibreglass brush but it may be the pier to that side of the connection failing too,
