In 94/95 what was the usuall contents of the Sportline package.
Was it just suspension? Were any mods done to the engine?

As far as I know (I have one!) it's suspension (lower and harder), larger anti roll bar, slightly tighter steering, 5 speed autobox, slightly smaller steering wheel, 205 tyres.
There was no engine mods.

As far as I know that sounds like the full package. I have the sales literature somewhere which I will dig out when I get the chance and confirm.

Mercky is about right, the sales bumf says:-

Sportline options are available as a complete package or individually (so unless the full package was specified at birth you may have some or all)

Suspension:

1) 20% Harder springs and dampers
2) Bodywork lowered by 32mm (estate) or 20mm (saloon)
3) More direct steering
4) Alloy wheels and wider tyres

Interior:

1) Sports seats at the front (with pronounced lateral contouring,
also available in leather, saloon had option of 2 contoured rear seats)
2) New Chequered fabric material for front seats (also available for the rear)
3) Smaller steering wheel (wheel and gear lever trimmed in black
nappa leather, this may be one of the options)

This is as much as the marketing people were prepared to put in the sales leaflet and may not be exhaustive, there probably are some other slight mods to the suspension. As for the engine I don' think MB touched it. If you wanted more power you went to AMG 'et al'

One interesting thing I've noticed about the last sales leaflet circa 95 is that the Sportline appears to have been dropped.

Sportline options were available for all models except 300TE 4MATIC

Hope this help you with your check list.

As described above, except the wheels went from 6.5" to 7", the tyres from 195 to 205 and the 5-speed box was not part of Sportline
