HI all

I am looking to replace my tyres on my SLK350 (new model). I have been looking at something like the Yokohama Advan Sport for a little track use (wet and dry conditions) and normal day use.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks
Andy

whats on it at the mo?

the conti's on mine are very good on dry warm roads. and really really impressive on silverstone circuit. but rubbish in any other conditions. they just do not hold any traction at anything above easing away when cold or wet.

and having had them measured, both fronts 4.5mm, offside rear 3mm and nearside rear 2.5mm, thats in 9200miles.

wouldn't have them again.

Its very easy to spin the back wheels of my R230 500SL they are conti's, I have just put my spare set of wheels on with Michelin, I will see how these do.
A lot of the cheapere tyres like Yoko and Kumho are good value these days, they do lack on certain condition in road test. I found a good web site the other day where they had all been tested.

The Swedes still test the best, one car, one driver, one track that can be ice or wet or dry, the wheels are changed for each brand of tyre, I am waiting for the new report.
