W166 GLE350AMG Line 3.0 2017. BMW Z3 2.8 1998.
Received a recall letter this morning concerning updating the engine control software for Euro 6 diseasel engined cars.

An initial 40 minute job, but if required a further check of the NOX sensors with replacement if required taking a further 3 hours apparently.

Wonder if it will get a wash

Booked in for next Thursday. Lets see how much coffee I can drink and biscuits I can scoff ;)

Mine is a 2017 build GLE 350 V6 diseasel.

Hmmmm, wonder why the software needs an update... emissions issues with the original?
When VeeDub updated the owners have had loads of issues afterwards

benz recall. so if /when you go, have them agree /confirm in writing that when the car arrived there were no known driving /engine defects or ask for some evidence of warranty ref this matter ,would like to know what actually the update is for....

Hi - have you had this done yet? My CLS 350 was done a month or so ago and I feel it's using more fuel since. Could you please let me know if you notice any increase in fuel consumption? Thanks

We had our A200d in for an update 18 months ago. (66 plate). Noticed a fair drop in fuel consumption after. Encountered no other problems though.

Shall take a bit more interest if I get another recall.

You mention a drop in fuel consumption. Do you mean that?i.e. the car uses less fuel now. If so that is very good but is the opposite of what I heard from others.
