I have size 3 pads at the front and size 1 at the back which is the wrong way round as I have too much "air" at front end and little at the back, can the pads be swapped round or are they diff design?

How do you check the pads at the front? Ive found the ones on the back and they have 2 nipples, so thats size 2 right? I just cant find any at the front. My car does sit a lot lower at the rear but it used to tow a caravan before i bought it so im pretty sure it needs new spring and shocks at the rear.

Stwat the same "nipples" are on the front. You proberly need to use a mirror and a touch to see 'em. Sounds like you need new rear springs.

I think your right mike. It does seem to wallow around quite a lot on the back end. Plus im sure one side sits a bit lower than the other. ****** caravans LOL. ive already had to replace the rear driveshaft bush cos it was in shreads when i got the car.

Cheers,

I was driving mine around for several months knowing the handling was'nt quite right before I decided to get new rear springs as it plainly sat too low, when the old ones were removed it turned out one had broken at the top.

The parts are different front to back, but also very cheap - I bought 4 new pads for about a tenner.

MB call them "shims" if it helps when calling parts.

Hi GrahamC230K,

Where do you buy spring pad spacers from for a tenner?

I'm looking to increase the ride height og my 380se for the Plymouth-banjul challenge to miss the rocks in the desert section.

Any help would be great.

Regards
Steve
