Hi,
I have heard of Sprintbooster's before and to be honest cannot see the attraction of them, they do not increase power, performance, or fuel economy, they change the calibration of the throttle potentiometer, the result is a percieved increase in performance.
To fit a Sprintbooster the car needs to have fly by wire throttle control, which i believe an R reg c class to have, as its a facelift version of the 202 c class.

Thanks Andy,

tried it today and it didnt work i think it is hit or miss between cars. I went to CKS Performance to get it done. One thing that annoys me about c280 is you can hardly do anything to make it accelrate quicker (well the old models) i might consider selling mine soon.

thanks

Knowing how they work I cant believe in this as the gearbox only has a very short memory, but each to his own

Unless depressing the accelator fully down pedal is difficult I can't see the point.

The idea is that the gearbox ECU adapts to how you drive, the reset reverts back to the factory setting. The result is that the car (in most cases) temporarily feels more responsive. Until the ECU adapts again....

I've got a Sprint Booster on my BMW and with hindsight I should have saved my money.

The gear box ECU is linked to the engine ECU and they work hand in hand together, we have had so many of these discussions.

I saved my money by not buying one and bought an SL55.

You must have been looking at the diamond encrusted solid gold version, my sprint booster was a bit cheaper than your SL. :p

(Still a waste of money though)
