Hi all

I have a brake pedal that when the engine is running will pump up to hard but will then slowly go to the floor. The pedal is solid when not running.

I have to date. changed the master cylinder and servo for new ones. No Change.

I notice oily patch under the abs unit so today I changed that for an exchange unit. No change except I now have ABS ESP and TC lights on and cannot make them go out.

Help !!!!!!!!

Hello and welcome,, you must have disturbed the wheel sensor when you changed the caliper, the pedal sounds like air in the system, if there are no leaks

Hi Television, thanks for your speedy reply.

Have not touched calipers, just bled system after changing the ABS unit. I have had problem for long while and have bled system several times. Being old school my first thought was the Master Cylinder. I changed servo at same time (both new). I have not used any brake fluid since it started (just that I used to bleed system about 3 litres now).

Would replacing the ABS unit require any ECU/ABS reset. Or should I assume replacement unit is faulty and put old unit back on which had no warning lights showing (I need shares in a brake fluid company lol).

I have Carsoft 7.4 but unfortunately it is showing a PC cable fault so until I get a new cable I cannot read error codes. I did however see and ABS erase error code section on software which is why I wondered if a ECU/ABS reset was required.
