Hi everyone,
I’ve got a Sprinter 209,2009, 2.1L and lately keeps cutting out after like an hour of driving it. Engine just turns off itself. When I try to start it won’t do anything, no crank or anything. I’d turn the key, the lights will come on in the dashboard, but it won’t turn or crank or anything. I have to wait like half an hour for it to cool down a little bit and it would start again. I think the previous owner really messed it up cause I took it to 4 mechanics and none of their diagnose would even connect to my sprinter so no one can find the fault. Before this to happen it would drive fine but if I stopped it and the engine was really hot like after 1 hour and a half of driving it wouldn’t start. The same, I had to wait for the engine to cool down a little bit and it would start fine. If the Glow plugs light comes on then it starts, whenever the glow plugs light doesn’t come on in the dashboard it doesn’t start. Has anyone experienced this before? No idea what to do anymore..
