HI

Can anyone please help, I am trying to locate the glowplug relay, on my sprinter could someone kindly point me in the right direction as to the exact location were I may find it.

Also experiencing starting problems will not start at all once switched off, I have to take off the air intake and spray easy start and crank at same time then it fires up straight away, 'what a pain' even if engine is warm it will not start unless I give it a dose of easy start.

It has only done 50k carefull miles and I have had it from new and it is on a 52 plate.

Someone please help,:confused::confused:

Thank You

sounds like air in the fuel to me!!! my car isnt a cdi model, but shows similar symptoms! i refuse to use easy start though! if relay for heater plugs was duff, chances are that the light wouldnt work correctly! if light stays on or comes on during driving, it could be a glow plug not working!

On that model the glow plugs are not required for starting unless the ambient temps are a long way below freezing.
The most likely cause will be an injector or fuel supply problem, either low or high pressure. There is also an O ring seal that gives problems on the fuel rail. It really needs to be checked out by someone who has a good understanding of the system, preferably with a Startester as this runs some very good tests.

HI

Recently it was hooked up to diagnostics not sure which type it was, it came up as glowplug 2 current exesive.

From what you have said in your post that this model does not need the glow plugs to start the problem must be elsewere.

I am going to have it checked out.

Thank You
