Sprinter 310d 1999

Hi everyone
I have a sprinter 310d 2.9, year 1999 and threw the warmer months it seems fine but come winter time I have no van, because it runs spot on otherwise starts first time never misses a beat.
When the no start problem happens the glow light doesn’t go out and the edc light doesn’t go out what could be my problem please

Hey,

Sounds like the glow plugs might be knackered, does it crank over and over and just not start? Glow plugs heat the diesel to a reasonable temperature for combustion so if they are goosed then it probably won't like starting in the cold.
