Hi all can anyone confirm if this is normal or do I need my brakes looked at. I have a 208D 1999 Sprinter with abs and noticed yesterday when I had to brake really hard I felt and heard a clicking sound and pulse on the brake pedal. The brakes work really well and have no other issues apart from that Any advise please Thanks

Its amazing how many folks never brake hard until they realise that needed to be going slower. With an ABS equiped vehicle it is important to know that if the brake pedal fights back it is supposed to do so and to stop you must keep it held down, it is almost unbelivable but there have been accidents resulting in serious injuries caused by people letting their brakes off just because the pedal fought back and they thought it was a brake fault...

Go out and practice emergency stops on various surface types and conditions, let the thing fight back and then try the same stops letting off when the ABS kicks in, this will enable you to judge how the car will stop and to see how effective ABS is, it might save somebody's life.
