sprinter gearbox

hello all first time on the forum need some info on how to split the gearbox on my sprinter 310 2.9 . removed all the bolts from the casing and broke the seal but just won,t come apart . any one split one before ?

I only have sprinter 310 208 it is the first 6 VIN number of the van that I need, it will be 310 ??? and I want the next 3 numbers

Thank you for your reply Malcolm, the tag plate is missing of the gear box i do not have the numbers so i went and bought another gear box. Cheers for your help.

It was the sprinter number that I wanted,not the engine or box,but never mind aye
