sprinter glow plug failure

Can Anyone Help Me Sort My Sprinter Its A 1999 208d The Glow Plug Light Does Not Come On When Starting From Cold When It Eventually Starts It Comes On When The Engine Has Been Running For A Few Minutes Then Goes Off Can Anyone Point Me In The Right Direction Please

glow plug relay sprinters

its located under the battery. took me a while to find!
even after soldering the link back check the plugs by connecting them 1 at a time.

sprinter glow plugs

replaced all the glow plugs and the glow plug light still does not come on when you put the ignition on but the van starts ok then the light comes on about 2 mins after it has fired up then light comes on for about 20 secs so i changed the glow plug relay for a new one and on the light came as it should but after about one day the origonal fauklt came back any ideas anybody

I've been through all the testing of plugs, relays and bulbs yet still the light won't come on. Heating system operating fine so just do without the light, sure you can count to 5 before turning the key.( works for me on a cold day):-D
