Hi, for past month the sprint shift is randomly switching between auto and manual (all 6 gears available). It is intermittent and unpredictable. The garage has tested on a wide range of computers with nothing showing. We have replaced the Turbo pressure sensor , but this hasn’t made a difference. They were thinking of replacing the turbo, but this feels more electrical than mechanical. Does anyone have experience of this and other solutions to suggest??

They are having your pants down with suggesting a turbo replacement.

Ok , I did suspect that. Do you have any other suggestions we could try?

Is this a garage with a specific MB code reader, re the turbo and my comment, turbos not working correctly is usually due to something that operated the turbo. This could be many things.

With a dead turbo you get nooooo speed and often clouds of smoke.

How a failing turbo would mean switiching from man to auto is beyind me.

I would say get to another garage with a MB code reader, where are you based, someone may be able to recommend a good garage near you.
