It measures nox and therefore unless I miss understand (can happen) the sensor, sensors will have to be after turbo exhaust side. I can't understand any other way they cud work.
I would hav thought one at eng end of ex system and one after DPF. Personally I have never looked under the ml250, and I sure hope not to have to.
Everything to do with DPF and adblue ps me off big time as its basically a dealer earner, ready, willing or not.
I will only be seen at dealer update when benz agree to fund the fixing of any eml, emissions issue that appears following any such update a faulty sensor I accept wud not really be incl. But any that won't function correctly wud have to be foc.

thanks for the reply just after the turbo there is an oxygen sensor which i did replace the next one down is after the dpf and all the info i can find says its a sensor that measures the the temperature of the exhaust this i have cleaned and i also put a new dpf pressure sensor on hoping that would help
when i started to check my problems out on the net it stated the nox sensor was on the exhaust and the wires went to a box not to far from it
i am no mechanic but i have lots of time under the van looking for this nox sensor and never found it so i will have to check the net again to see what i have not done Thanks again for your reply

I don't have experience of Nox sensors.
But I thought they applied to, later than 2015, Euro 6 engines.

My understanding is that there would be 1 on the 651, in the cylinder head.

Unlikely but is there any confusion with the Knock sensors, 2 of them on the 651. They are into the o/s of the block. they wouldn't be related to the EGR though.
