Sprinter 313 cdi/2011/2.1
Hi there, I have a couple of problems with my 2011 313 cdi sprinter........1st Is that it has an idling problem tends to run very rough and cuts out all the time whilst idling but when driving it is fine.......secondly it has lost a lot of power and will not go past 3000 rpm.
What is my problem? Kind regards.

Is the engine check light on? You need it on a code reader, sounds like it's in limp-home mode.

It just happens wife's CLK with similar engine went into limp home the other month... rough idle... no power... 3000rpm max & no engine light. It was a failed coolant sensor but many more things can cause it.

Just had same problem, but without the Idle Dropping out (1998 Sprinter) - Snap-On Diagnostics found just one issue (Turbo Underboost) = Limp Home Mode.

So I bought a Lucas MAP Sensor off eBay £33 and a Lucas Air Intake Sensor £12 off eBay - These were both DIY Jobs to change and both took under 2 minutes to change = in my case now back to 'Full Power' on my 400,000+ miles Sprinter.
