what is the general concensus on spurious parts like fuel pumps. i'm hoping my local OTTO will have the pump and track rods i need for my '90 200E. are they expensive? they're for the test but the car is also for sale so i'm not taking the long term view.....any thoughts

Considering your plan to sell, sell, sell then the cheapest that will function has got to be the right choice. It's hard on the next owner but putting dearer parts on won't add to the sale value. However, if you don't particularly want to sell and feel you may keep the car if a decent price is not achieved then the arguement becomes more complex!
