squeeky brakes on 2003 E class

Hi fellow members my 2003 E class has developed an annoying squeek nearly every time i brake. I must add its been parked at my place of work where Tesco are building a new super store and there is a lot of sand blowing about. Its not terribly loud and i cant make out wether its the pedal or the brake pads.Any help would be helpful.

Your not in Carmarthen are you?
You could engage the services of an able assistant to stand outside the car whilst you drive slowly by with the brakes on. They should help you locate where the noise is coming from.
Depending upon your wheels you should be able to see the discs quite easily to see if there are any gouge marks on the discs. Give the wheels/brakes a good clean. If the noise continues then popping the pads out and applying some copper grease to the back of the pads usually cures squealing brakes.

Thanks for that info the cars only covered 20,000 miles and it seems to have happened since the cars been parked at work with all that sand blowing about the cars been covered in it for days.
