SRS fault light & airbag light on 2001 E240 Estate

New member and first post - SRS occasionally flickers on some months ago & now it is more on than off and is combined with airbag light on. I have read a few members responses to similar problems but would be pleased for clarification on the following

1 Is it worthwhile me trying to find loose passenger seat contact as this seems to be the only thing I can check?
2 Can fault lights be reset by me or is this a dealer matter in which case I might as well get fault diagnosis.
3 Can any member recommend good independent in Tunbridge Wells area - the independent I use for service cannot diagnose this model.

This is a hard one for your first post: The fault could be anywhere from the seatbelt tensioners, side or front air bags.

Thanks Malcolm - I did check all accessible seat contacts, without taking the seat out, but no difference - looks like a visit to MB
