Hi There,
A few months back the SRS warning light came on out of the blue on my 124 320 coupe but I've also noticed that if the car is left unused for a few days the battery drains. I put an ammeter on the battery and it appears to be draining at a rate of about 4amps with ignition off, alarm off etc! I then removed each fuse to see if I could isolate circuit but no joy. Could the SRS light and battery drain be related? Ideas Please!!
Thanks in advance
Mercky

Before doing a current check, the battery must be fully charged, otherwise false readings will be obtained

Was there ever a solution to this? (appreciate it's long time ago!!)

Just that I have the exact same problem just now.

It could be the reg pack

Ok. Yes they are available separately ... £60 from the dealer - ouch.

I bought a whole car for £60, once.

They are only £20 or so from any Bosch service centre

It could be the reg pack

Spot on, Malcolm. Fitted the new reg pack this morning and all symptoms have disappeared. Actually, in addition, the voltage measured at the battery is now 14 point something (it was hovering around the twelve mark previously, with the engine running - which I thought was normal, but is apparently not).

Many thanks.

****** roof still won't work, though
